In honor of National Pollinator Week, we wanted to share this stunning footage from DisneyNature that was shown at a 2011 TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference to illustrate the intricate relationship between flowering plants and the pollinators that ensure their survival. Although pollinators are responsible for providing more than one-third of the world’s food sources, the existence of these creatures is under threat by loss of habitat and changing weather patterns. The amazing look into the macro world of these vigilant pollinators gives you a sense of appreciation for their real purpose on Earth, and how that role is not in question.
