Living the John Muir Trail

john muir trail 300x201 Living the John Muir TrailA great alternative for those who find the Pacific Crest Trail intimidating, the John Muir Trail extends through the High Sierra wilderness, roughly 160 miles of which follows the very same foot path that forms part of the Pacific Crest Trail. Named for the naturalist John Muir, this scenic hike takes trekkers through pristine backcountry, crossing no less than 6 mountain passes along the way with elevations that exceed 11,000 feet.
