South America is filled to the brim with exotic locales, species, and culture, but none can surpass the sheer magnitude of Guyana’s tabletop mountains, nestled on the border of Venezuela. A lush jungle nation that has the privilege of containing one of the last few untouched rainforests on the planet, here you will find several tabletop mountains stretching into the clouds, one of which is nearly as high as the Empire State Building in New York City! Because the nature of their physiology disconnects them from the surrounding range, tabletop mountains often harbor a wealth of endemic flora and fauna, some of which have yet to be discovered and labeled by science today.
