Well, it’s finally the 4th of July, which signifies the real beginning of summer for many people. It’s a long weekend for the working stiffs (some are even getting 5 days off this year — talk about a bonus!), spring rain is but a distant memory, and oh yeah — today we get to blow a bunch of stuff up! Kids and adults alike can hardly wait until the sun goes down and twilight dissipates just enough for America’s favorite colorful explosions to begin, and from there on out, it’s pretty much a free-for-all. But have you ever enjoyed a daytime fireworks display? You’d think there wouldn’t be much to see with a bright blue sky background, but daytime fireworks displays are actually all the rage in some places around the world. Check out this impressive show that took place in the Arab sovereign state of Qatar as part of celebrations at the Arab Museum of Modern Art.
