If a Bear Dances in the Woods and No One Sees It…

bear scratching…did a bear party actually happen? We here at SunnyScope were tickled pink to come across this video, taken by Alberta Parks researchers in Canada, of all sorts of wildlife doing their thing in nature, with incredibly entertaining results.

Bears of all species are known for their propensity to scratch, bite, and rub against tree trunks for a variety of reasons: to communicate with other bears using their scent, to rid their dense fur of parasites, or even to coat themselves in tree sap to act as a natural insect repellent.

Whatever their motives are, there is no denying that bears have their own idea of a good time in nature, and it all starts with a tree in the woods.
